BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
In simplest terms, wrestling is like judo but without the jacket on - except you won't just learn to throw your opponent, you'll have to pin them to the ground as well.
Oh. And if you're down on the ground, you have to get back up again.
They say that wrestlers control the fight. Against a superior striker, the wrestler takes the fight to the ground. Against a superior grappler, the wrestler keeps it standing.
Come along and learn how to control a fight.
Hitting, kicking, wrestling and jiu jitsu all rolled into one. It's a complicated game as there's so much going on - maybe that's what makes it so much fun.
It's as real as it gets... while being kept friendly.
Whatever your skill level in any aspect of fighting, we'll get you using them all - and good at it too.
What happens if a fight goes to the ground? Maybe someone trips, maybe they're thrown. In our BJJ classes you will learn how to survive and even dominate from the ground. You will even learn how to win when a stronger, larger opponent is on top of you.
But more than that, BJJ is just really good fun. It's perfect for everyone of all sizes and ages.

What’s the difference between Boxing, Kick Boxing and Muay Thai?
Boxing involves striking with the fists only.
Kickboxing also allows kicks above the waist and a few other strikes with the hands.
Muay Thai also allows knees, elbows and attacks to the legs.
At Cross Combat we teach aspects of all three – because we really just teach “striking”.
In the real world, you can strike anything with any part of your body you like, so you'll learn to do them all.
So come along and learn to use everything you've got to hit things well.
